PhD candidate Johannes Aengenheyster has a new article out in the top journal Poetics in which he modelled why some countries have more private museums than others. Tax incentives and wealth inequality matter!

Based on interviews in Germany, Kristina Kolbe published an article in Socio-Economic Review on the ways in which founders use their museums to legitimize themselves as members of the art world and of elites more generally.

Because of the upcoming opening of several new private museums in The Netherlands in 2025 and 2026, the Dutch news channel RTL4 broadcasted a TV item and a news article, for which project leader Olav Velthuis was interviewed.
